The Black CEO Kansas City Chapter is opening its doors to new members. Open Recruitment period began July 1 and ends October 1, 2017. Join us at The Promise Wedding + Event Space,  to meet the leadership, the Tribe Leaders for the Kansas City Metro Area, and the current members. Hear about the things lined up for the Black Business Owners of Kansas City. The chapter is open to all types of businesses, storefront, home-based, online, MLM(Multi Level Marketing), Part-time and event retired business leaders. There is a place for everyone on our team.

The Kansas City Chapter is also looking for Tribe Leaders to represent the organization in the area where your business is located. Lead a team of 10-14 Business Owners. West African Drum and Dance Workshop with Master Teachers | SATURDAY AUG 12TH @ 130PM

With great pleasure, BlkDance Tek is honored to offer you this grand opportunity to study drumming with Djembefola Sekou Tepakalunda Conde and to study dance with Guinea Ballet Master Teacher, Dancer, and Choreographer, Moustapha Bangoura.

Get Your Tickets EARLY for KCTC 'Be-Bop & Beyond Tour | FRIDAY SEPT 1 @ 5PM & 6PM



Happening on the First Friday of every month, Art meets History at the Crossroads at the Vine a Heart of America Black History Tour. Tours depart Union Station, 30 W Pershing Rd, Kansas City, MO 64108 at 500PM and 600PM and cost per ticket is $30.

One of the newest Kansas City history tours as a result of the Mutual Musicians' Foundation's Centennial Programming. The tours began last Friday with Kansas City Tour Company, founded by Erik Stafford! KCTC even brought along Charlie Parker's grandson, Bryan Parker, for the event!

Karla Deel, founder of Squeezebox Kansas City also joined the collab for this awesome kick-off event.

Last, but not least, shout out to James Hathaway, Jr. (Chairman James Hathaway's son) for serving up a brand new craft cocktail even made its debut; the 'Parker'!

The tour stop begins with a traditional two-piece with MMF artist members, AvaBella and Chairman James Hathaway, Sr., cocktails, MMF history told by MMF artist member and KOJH 104.7 FM Programming Director, James McGee.




4th Annual Youth and Parent Back to School Breakfast - FREE | SAT AUG 12TH 8AM - 1230PM




The National Congress of Black Women, Inc.-Kansas City (NCBW-KC) will host its 4th Annual Youth and Parent Back To School Breakfast. The purpose of the event is to heighten awareness to healthy eating and increased physical activity at home with family. No RSVP needed. No ticket needed. This is a FREE demonstrable heart healthy breakfast. A FUN stretching demonstration will follow the breakfast.

Journey Through Endia presents: The "She is Art" Art Show | SUN AUG 13TH @ 5PM - 8PM


August 13th will be Endia's first art show - tickets are only $10!

"Since I was a child Art has been an outlet for me, whether it be poetry, drawing, crafts, and even decorating clothes", says Endia Lasker. In April 2016 Lasker says she was bold enough to share her work with the world. 

Endia Lasker resides in south Kansas Cit, Missouri, and art is her passion. She is currently working towards her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and plans to use both her degree and gifts(Art), to offer Art therapy for children and adults. She is a returning student and intends to pay for her remaining courses by selling her artwork.
